At Speedrecovery Physiotherapy, we believe that effective rehabilitation requires more than just clinical expertise—it demands genuine empathy and a deep understanding of what it means to live with pain. This philosophy isn't just a corporate slogan; it is the foundation of my entire career. As the founder and principal clinician here, I draw on my personal philosophy and specialized international training to shape every treatment plan we create. Below is the story of how my passion for movement and recovery became the driving force behind this practice, and how I bring over two decades of global expertise to your doorstep. To ensure all our patients feel heard and fully understood, consultations are proudly available in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
My interest in physiotherapy started with my own recovery. As a young person, I had a serious back injury that kept me from doing the things I loved. Going through that pain and limitation was tough, but the care I received through physiotherapy made a huge difference. That experience inspired me to help others find relief, regain their independence, and get back to living their lives.
Over 25 Years of International Experience
I earned my physiotherapy degree from Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HKPU) in 2000. Since then, I have worked in hospital rehabilitation, specialized neurological units, disability care, and private practice.
Aged Care & Disability Specialist: Alongside my musculoskeletal practice, I have dedicated a significant portion of my career to aged care and disability services in both Hong Kong and Australia. I focus on helping older adults improve their mobility, build strength, and stay independent at home.
Neurological & Hospital Rehabilitation: I worked in specialized rehabilitation hospitals in Hong Kong, treating complex neurological conditions like stroke, Parkinson’s disease, and other progressive disorders.
Advanced Post-Graduate Training: To improve my skills, I returned to HKPU for a Master’s Degree in Manipulative Physiotherapy. I also trained in acupuncture in China, which allows me to combine traditional methods with modern rehabilitation for better pain relief.
In 2021, I moved to Australia and have continued my work in private practice, aged care (HCP), and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in the local community.
We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all treatments or just covering up symptoms. If you are in pain, we look beyond the problem area and consider your whole body.
We use a holistic, biomechanical approach in our practice. Your body is an interconnected system, so pain in one area can be caused by a problem somewhere else. By looking at how your whole body moves, we find the root cause instead of just treating the symptoms.
Our Two-Step Approach to Recovery
Step 1: Fix the Structure (Manual Therapy): We use advanced manual therapy, joint manipulation, and hands-on techniques to restore alignment, relieve joint restrictions, and reduce pain.
Step 2: Maintain the Movement (Exercise Therapy): After fixing the structural issue, we create a personalized exercise plan. This helps strengthen your muscles, prevent future injuries, and support long-term progress.
Whether we are helping someone recover from a spinal injury or working to improve walking and coordination for someone with a neurological condition, our goal is always to provide precise, compassionate, and life-changing care where it matters most.
